The annual St. Louis Jazz Festival is renowned across the African continent as a showcases for jazz, blues, gospel and other music. Beyond music the festival is a platform for visual artists. Every evening there is also the Artist Scene is held on the Quai Roume not far from the mythical Bou El Mogdad boat. The 25th edition of Saint-Louis Jazz 2017 runs from April 24 to May 1. For the past 25 years, the rhythm of jazz comes to this town located near the famous pink lake. For 7 days artists such as Roy Haynes, Louis Sclavis, Archie Shepp, Doudou Ndiaye Rose , Horace Parlan, Soroba Kouyate, Randy Weston, Lucky Peterson, Richard Bona, Jack DeJohnette, McCoy Tyner, Ali Farka Toure, Elvin Jones, Abdullah Ibarhim, Gana Mbow, Joe Zawinul, Pharoah Sanders, regale an international audience with best in jazz.
